The link provides access to all the pertinent EPA documents on the Consent Agreement. The link labeled "Text of the consent agreement (PDF, 41 pp., 132 KB)" is the official document that producers will need if they expect to participate.

The Northeast Dairy Producers Association (NEDPA) released a Resolution on the EPA Air Emission Compliance Agreement on February 8, 2005. The Resolution has multiple recommendations including that producers sign the Agreement.

The Northeast Dairy Producers Association (NEDPA) is holding their annual meeting on March 1, 2005 in Syracuse, NY.  The focus of the meeting will be on the EPA Air Quality Compliance Agreement including leading speakers on the subject and a facilitated discussion.

A second national conference call was held on July 13 to discuss the EPA Consent Agreement (CA) for agricultural air emissions. The guest speakers were Mr. Robert Kaplan, Director Special Litigation and Projects Division, Office of Regulatory Enforcement at EPA and Dr. Albert Heber, Professor in Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Purdue University. Each gave a very informative presentation that was followed by a question and answer session.

There are a few key items that were discussed by Mr. Kaplan on July 13th that require immediate attention if the industry wishes to be in a position to learn more about and have input on the CA and the process before accepting or rejecting it. read more

A national conference call has been schedule for June 16, 2004 for representatives of state or regional dairy producer associations to discuss the EPA Consent Agreement. Producer associations from NY, PA, WI, FL, GA, TN, AL, VA, and ID have indicated they will be participating. A report will be available following the meeting.

June 4, 2004
Sources indicated last month that the EPA Consent Agreement was scheduled to be posted in the Federal Register sometime close to the Memorial day weekend. This did not occur. The latest information we have is that it may be released in mid June or near the fourth of July holiday. Further updates on this will be made as we find out more.
